Issues: Women Abortion Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

1. Introduce the Margaret Sanger constitutional amendment guaranteeing the Reproductive Freedom of all Americans.

2. Prevent business owners and managers from using personal concerns to deny anyone their right of access to birth control, abortion, and other medical services.

3. Pass the Paycheck Fairness Act, introduced by Representatives DeLauro (D-CT), Mikulski (D-MD), and Eshoo (D-CA), that would help women reduce the disparity in earnings between working women and men. Among the important reforms that the Paycheck Fairness Act will bring is that employers will be prohibited from punishing workers who share salary information with their coworkers.

4. Full-funding of programs authorized under the renewed Violence against Women Act.

5. Pass a new Voting Rights Act that includes a process by which racially discriminatory election laws are stopped before anyone is denied thier right to vote.

6. Support passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) to prohibit anyone losing their job because someone thinks they are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or intersexed.
